Padraic is an award-winning writer who works in theatre and fiction.
BLUE THUNDER ran at the VAULT Festival in London, where it won the Innovation Award. A second production ran at the TREND Festival in Rome and toured to Molise, Arezzo and Milan. A third production ran at Dublin Fringe festival, where it was shortlisted for a Fringe award, and toured to Longford, Roscommon, Galway, Mayo and Donegal. His adaptation of the play for BBC Radio 4 was The Times’ Radio Pick of the Week, The Guardian’s Audio Pick of the Day, and Drama of the Week on the BBC podcast.
FOXES was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and was shortlisted for Best Original Audio Drama at the BBC Audio Drama Awards and chosen for the BBC’s Drama of the Week podcast.
His plays have received public readings at the HighTide Festival Theatre, Hampstead Theatre, Abbey Theatre (Dublin), West Yorkshire Playhouse and The Ilkley Playhouse. He won the Walter Swan Trust Playwriting Award and was a Writer on Attachment with the Oxford Playhouse.
His fiction has appeared in THE STINGING FLY and CYPHERS.
